Dr. Chandrima Chakraborty is the newly appointed University Scholar in the Faculty of Humanities. Dr. Chakraborty is Associate Professor in the Department of English and Cultural Studies and Co-Chair of the Asian Research Working Group (ARWG) at McMaster. Her internationally renowned research is on postcolonial literatures and cultures, diaspora studies, gender studies, trauma and memory studies, Hindi cinema, South Asia, and the South Asian diaspora. She joins the ranks of University Scholar Dr. Christina Baade of the Department of Communication Studies and Multimedia who was appointed in 2015. Read the announcement.
